  1. WASHINGTON DC INTERACTIVE CD INSTRUCTIONS

  3. To view the program's contents simply:
  4.  
  5. * Insert CD in Drive.
  6.  
  7. * The program automatically starts. If the program fails to
  8. start, "Autorun" may be disabled.
  9.  
  10. If you have "Autorun" disabled:
  11.  
  12. * Insert CD in drive. * Select "Run" from the "Start" menu.
  13. Type in "D:WashingtonDC.EXE".  Omit the quotes and replace the
  14. letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your CD drive (D is
  15. the most common). * Click "OK".

  17. TO VIEW INTERACTIVE PROGRAM
  18.  
  19. * From the Main Menu, select a topic.  Each sub-menu contains
  20. many topics to explore. * You may navigate through the
  21. interactive menus by clicking on a button when the highlight
  22. appears.  You may click on the "American Flag" icon found on
  23. the bottom of the screen to go back one menu.  During the
  24. program, you may click on the "American Flag" at any time to
  25. pause, return to the Main Menu, return to the previous menu,
  26. or quit the program.

  28. TO VIEW VIDEO MOVIES
  29.  
  30. * From the Video Library, you may choose to play any movie by
  31. clicking on its title. * During the video playback, click on
  32. the "American Flag" icon to return to the Menu.
  33.  
  34. TO INSTALL QUICKTIME(tm)
  35.  
  36. * QuickTime(tm) is required for video movie playback. * You
  37. may install QuickTime(tm) from the Video Library menu. * You
  38. may also install QuickTime(tm) from the CD.  Select "Run" from
  39. the "Start" menu. Type in
  40. "D:media\QUICKTIMEINSTALLERFOLDER\QUICKTIMEINSTALLER.EXE" Omit
  41. the quotes and replace the letter "D" with the appropriate
  42. letter for your CD drive (D is the most common). * Click "OK".
  43. This will begin the install.  Follow the rest of the
  44. instructions on the screen.

  46. TO PRINT FROM THE "FAST FACTS" SECTION
  47.  
  48. * Click the "PRINT" button on the screen to print the
  49. on-screen text. You will then view the page setup screen in
  50. case you wish to make any changes to the printing job.
